Gretchen Cope

I served as the Co-President for the CU Boulder chapter of Relay for Life (Colleges Against Cancer). I did so from August 2017-September 2018 and throughout my time in this position coordinated the annual Relay for Life event at CU Boulder. I selected this experience as representative of my leadership because of the "official" position I was in. On paper, I was the co-lead of the 20-person student organization, although made an effort to position myself as having a very similar position as the other members. I served as the representative to the University on behalf of the student organization and worked with another student to coordinate all event specific information with the American Cancer Society.
