Welcome to my Leadership Minor ePortfolio!

I'd always thought that leadership required a title to be filled. That there needed to be an empty role in a student group, a job, or a sports team. I've learned that leadership is the exact opposite. Sure, sometimes there is a "leadership" role to apply for. Leadership though, always is the manner in which we communicate with our peers, our bosses, and strangers. It is the opportunity to grow in our understanding of ourselves and others, while being attentive to the common purpose. Leading then, is a job for everyone. It is something that we all need to take part in and reflect on if we wish to be part of a functioning and positive society.

I've had (and currently hold) leadership positions, each of which have come with their own tasks. More important than the titles I've had however, is the way that I've been able to navigate day-to-day interactions and experiences. Today, I approach each "task" as an opportunity: one where I'll get to know unique individuals, practice my technical skills, and continuously adapt my understanding of leadership.
